Dr. Zander Van Schalkwyk, D.C. is a true powerhouse both inside and outside the clinic. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in 2021, following an accomplished athletic career. While at Life University, he won two National Championships with the university’s Undergraduate Rugby team and another the Men’s Club team. Dr. Zander later played professional rugby for Rugby ATL, as well as competed at the World Championships in Karate. These achievements have given him a unique perspective on movement, body mechanics, and injury recovery, knowledge he integrates into his hands-on chiropractic techniques and treatment plans.
Whether you’re an athlete recovering from a sports-related injury or someone dealing with chronic joint and spine pain, Dr. Zander’s deep understanding of the body allows him to quickly identify the root of the problem. He takes a full-body approach, adjusting all joints from head to toe to restore proper function and achieve optimal health. From helping athletes rehabilitate after injuries to guiding patients with chronic back pain toward lasting relief, Dr. Zander has helped countless individuals regain mobility and return to the activities they love.
Dr. Zander is a devoted husband to his wife, Bishop, and a proud father to two energetic and incredible kids. Whether it's spending time at the beach, staying active, or enjoying the great outdoors, family time is always a priority. His love for rugby extends beyond his own playing days—he now gives back as a coach for the Tampa Krewe, mentoring young athletes (ages 10-14) and sharing his passion for the sport.
